Sharon Gruber | Championing Change By Volunteering

Sharon Gruber is a life-long resident of San Diego and has worked as a sales representative for Vanguard Industries West (largest military manufacturer in the world) for the past 34 years. She is incredibly passionate about volunteering and spends her free time packaging food for local food banks, aiding nonprofit organizations, and sewing hundreds of hats for underserved kids as a member of the Poway Kiwanis Club. In this episode Gruber shares how she tirelessly worked her way through college and how her work ethic and ability to stay confident and poised has led her to success. We also discuss her role as the Pageant director of the Miss Poway Scholarship Pageant (not beauty based) and the qualities that set someone apart when competing for an award or even a job.

This episode has something for everyone out there, no matter your age, and most importantly will remind you on the importance of volunteering, because serving others truly is the gateway to creating sustainable change.
