Elucidating the United States Women’s Suffrage Movement

2020 is the year of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which allowed for women to have the right to vote. In this episode, Shruti explains the women’s suffrage movement including the key people, events, and actions taken by thousands of people which resulted in a monumental societal change for the United States. She also discusses issues that are still present to this day for women of different races and where the US currently stands compared to the rest of the world in regard to gender equality.
